The Myers Quality Assurance process works within all facets of a project. Listed below is a brief description of just some of the ways that our QA process works:
ENGINEERING
We ensure the adequacy of the design in terms of contractual requirements,
regulatory codes and industry standards. We also maintain careful control
of project documents, with strict product conformance procedures to ensure
that only "APPROVED" and officially released drawings are used by the
QA Department.
PROCUREMENT
We insist that our suppliers provide us with services and components that
are of proven capability and quality that is commensurate with the contractual
requirements. We also maintain a very detailed system for identification
and control of materials and components.
INSPECTION
We maintain a thorough in-process inspection system that utilizes detailed
procedures and an Audit Program to monitor workmanship throughout construction.
Through our maintenance calibration program, all equipment used for acceptance
testing and inspection is calibrated and certified by an approved independent
laboratory traceable to the National Bureau of Standards.
FINAL TEST AND INSPECTION
Test Engineers work with QA Inspectors to insure that the quality process
responsibilities of all departments have been maintained. We also conduct
a battery of electrical tests on the equipment, making sure that the system
is completely functional and safe. Myers' standard test program includes
all tests required by ANSI and U.L., and then goes a step further for
superior product quality by including primary current injection and complete
relay functional tests using state of the art test equipment such as the
Multi-Amp, Epoch 1, and Relay Test Set.
THE SHIPPING DEPARTMENT
Inspectors work closely with operations and shipping to see that all shipments
are properly packaged as required per contract or Myers' standards,
whichever applies.
