When the company decided to enter the medium-voltage market, we added a talented sales and marketing team, along with increasing our electrical and mechanical engineering staff. These investments have paid off handsomely, with new orders ranging between $250,000 and $1 million. Our customer base has also increased substantially to include the larger, well-known manufacturers, including General Electric, Cutler-Hammer and Siemens.
Myers Power Products has steadily gained recognition as the viable source for individualized power systems. Substantial contracts have been secured with leading engineering and construction companies, including: Black and Veatch, Parsons, Sargent & Lundy, Fluor and Bechtel. Also included among our clientele are major utilities, such as: Pacific Gas and Electric, Northern State Power, Portland General Electric, Pacific Corp and a myriad of municipalities.
The company continues to experience growth, with 10% of revenues resulting from government contracts; 20% utilities; 40% E&C companies and 20% Contracting and 10% petro chemical. For fiscal year 1999-2000, Myers experienced revenues of 22 million.
Myers Power Products' present capabilities include a full-service facility, from design and drawings, to finished product, including metal fabricated enclosures. The company presently employs 120 people at its Corona, California location.
