Myers responded to the growing demands of the electrical industry
by adding a new department, our Field Engineering Services. Factory trained
and qualified Field Service engineers are equipped with the latest test
equipment in order to fill such customer needs as Turnkey Project Management,
Technical Direction, Acceptance Testing, Maintenance and Start-up.
Installation Services
As a switchgear manufacturer, Myers offers a host of installation services
with new switchgear:
- technical direction for instructing contractors in the proper handling,
installation, and testing procedures of new equipment
- acceptance testing, including relay calibration, ground fault systems,
breaker trip devices, and cable testing (all of the tests are conducted
as required per NEMA and ANSI testing standards)
- customer training for your engineering, operating, and maintenance
personnel
Preventative Maintenance
Myers can perform all necessary maintenance to prevent costly unscheduled
outages and ensure system reliability. Services include, but are not limited
to, relay calibration, load testing of switchgear and breakers, hi-pot
testing of cables and transformer tests.
Repair and Retrofitting of Electrical Equipment
Since Myers is a switchgear manufacturer, no one is more qualified than
our engineers and craftsmen to repair your equipment. Our expertise in
repair includes the capability to overhaul any manufacturer's switchgear,
including the installation of new solid-state trip devices.
The ability to provide complete servicing in the field, on our equipment
or your existing equipment, and a warranty on all of the materials and
workmanship provided, ensure that you receive the best quality and service
available. Field service representatives travel to job sites around the
world to assist in start up and provide warranty service, if necessary.
Experience
Myers Field Service engineers have over 100 years of cumulative experience
with difficult custom projects that entail project management, inspection,
repair, maintenance and installation of switchgear and related components.
The field group has all the latest state-of-the-art test equipment, and
stay up to date with current technology in the industry. Myers has a
long successful record of retrofitting or adding to existing switchgear
lineups, thus averting costly replacement costs to our customers.
Our Field Service personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
to provide you with any emergency service that you might require.
