Myers Power Products manufacturers low voltage metal enclosed switchgear, which is used in power distribution systems for industrial, commercial and utility markets. Myers switchgear can be provided with drawout type air circuit breakers to meet UL 1558 requirements, or Myers can provide drawout or fixed mounted type insulated case circuit breakers to meet UL 891 requirements. Myers can provide breakers from any of the following major manufacturers like General Electric, Siemens, Cutler-Hammer and ABB.
Myers has built low voltage metal enclosed switchgear with up to 10,000 amps of current and 200,000 KAIC interrupting bracing.
Myers' LV metal enclosed switchgear consist of one or more vertical sections manufactured on-site from 14-gauge hot-rolled pickled in oil steel sheets. All metal parts are cleaned in a phosphotizing bath to eliminate grease, weld flux, mill oil, dust, etc. The steel sheets are then sheered, punched and welded, and bolted together with reinforced cross members to form a rigid self-supporting structure. The structures are painted per Myers Paint Procedure SB1B-R. Myers can also use aluminum or stainless steel sheets in lieu of hot-rolled pickled in oil steel sheets for the vertical sections. |
